Sony and Marvel Strike Deal: ‘Spider-Man’ Returns to the MCU For More Movies!

Michelle (Zendaya) catches a ride from Spider-Man in Columbia Pictures’ SPIDER-MAN:  FAR FROM HOME.

Sony’s ‘SPIDER-MAN’ Franchise Returns to Marvel Cinematic Universe!

Seems like yesterday the shocking news came that Sony and Marvel couldn’t play nice anymore. Fresh off the massive success of Spider-Man: Far From Home, both studios decided to part ways, leaving fans in turmoil! Until now…

Money always seems to get in the way of really good shit, especially when it comes fast! We see this happen often in the world of hip-hop(See: NWA. See: Arrested Development (the rap group). See: The Fugees and Lucy Pearl).

In this case, $2 Billion is just too TOO much money to walk away from (the combined gross of both MCU-based Spidey movies)! Word is both the House of Mouse/Marvel Studios + Sony have agreed to a new movie, with a release date of July 16, 2021.

“I am thrilled that Spidey’s journey in the MCU will continue, and I and all of us at Marvel Studios are very excited that we get to keep working on it,” said Marvel topper Kevin Feige. “Spider-Man is a powerful icon and hero whose story crosses all ages and audiences around the globe. He also happens to be the only hero with the superpower to cross cinematic universes, so as Sony continues to develop their own Spidey-verse you never know what surprises the future might hold.”

Cool, Kev!

Now that the world is back to normal…Anyone else have the feeling they was all just fuckin’ with us fans??

MY ADVICE (that no one asks for) is that Sony signs off with blessings and allows Feige & Co. to do with however TF they please with the Spidey franchise! There is too much money at stake and EVERYONE benefits from this arrangement! If you aren’t convinced by that the Kevin Feige-helmed MCU isn’t simply the greatest licensed franchise is movie history – kindly remove head from ass. Respectfully.
